Scholarship Directory

The AFCEA Educational Foundation has six general categories of scholarships available for undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled and attending full-time at four-year colleges or universities in the United States. High school students are not eligible to apply.

AfterCollege/AACN Scholarship Fund
The AfterCollege-AACN Scholarship Fund supports students who are seeking baccalaureate, master's or doctoral degree in nursing. One scholarship in the amount of $2,500 will be awarded each quarter. Special consideration will be given to students in a graduate program with the goal of becoming a nurse educator; students completing an RN-to-BSN or RN-to-MSN program; and those enrolled in an accelerated program. Deadlines: March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 1.

American Chemical Society Scholarship
ACS sponsors scholarship programs for qualified applicants who want to enter the fields of chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, chemical technology and teaching. The programs aim is to encourage diversity among applicants and build awareness of the value and rewards associated with careers in science and technology.

American Water Works Association AWWA Scholarship
Awarding $500 for Water Operator training and education. Each recipient will receive a one-year AWWA Operator membership.

American Welding Society Foundation Scholarship
The AWS Foundation is dedicated to meeting the needs for education and research in the field of welding and related joining technologies.

CastleBranch - GNSA Nursing Scholarship
Two $2,500 scholarships will be awarded each semester. Applicants must be enrolled in a graduate nursing program at an AACN member school of nursing and must be a GNSA member. This scholarship recognizes the outstanding work of graduate nursing students who are advancing the nursing profession. Deadlines: September 30 and December 30.

Dakota Indian Foundation Scholarship
The scholarship program is established for the further educational advancement of aspiring Native American students with priority given to those of Sioux heritage. Deadlines: August 1 for the fall semester and January 15 for the spring semester.

Disabled American Veterans (DAV)– Gene L. Kouba Memorial Scholarship
Adam Klein Chapter #3, Disabled American  Veterans is pleased to offer the Gene L. Kouba Memorial Scholarship program for the 2022-2023 school year. The maximum amount of each scholarship is $1,000 for the school year. Students eligible to apply must meet the following criteria: 1) Veteran with service-connected disabilities as determined by the U.S Department of Veteran Affairs (VA). 2) Veterans eligible for VA pension benefits due to nonservice-connected disabilities. 3) Other veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces. 4)Spouses/unmarried widow(er)s of veterans. 5) Unmarried children of veterans, until age 26. Deadline: March 15, 2022.

DSG (Dakota Supply Group) Education Connection Scholarship
The DSG Education Connection Fund is providing multiple scholarships to individuals who are pursuing an education and a career in the trade industries throughout DSG's service area.

Fabricators & Manufacturers Association Foundation Scholarship
The Fabricators & Manufacturers Association Foundation is an educational, research, and charitable organization serving the metal forming and fabricating industry.

Farm and Ranch Depot Scholarship Program
The Farm and Ranch Depot scholarship awards one $1000 scholarship to a high school senior that has enrolled in a two- or four-year college or university. The scholarship is intended for students who plan to major in agricultural, equine, or livestock studies. Deadline: May 1, 2022.

Gabriel J. Brown Trust
The Gabriel J. Brown Trust has lowered their borrowing rate to 5%. The trust has funds available and will accept applications until the funds have been depleted.

Indian Health Service Scholarships
Three scholarships will be awarded to American Indian or Alaska Native students in order to educate and train health professionals to staff Indian health programs.
 

Jamestown Chapter of United Sportsmen of ND
Jamestown Chapter of United Sportsmen of ND will be awarding (2) $1000 scholarships for the 2022-2023 school year. Applicants must be enrolled in ND College or University and have completed at least one year of study prior to the 2022-2023 school year. Be pursuing a course of study in the Biological Sciences or a closely related field of study and must have completed a certified Hunter Safety Program. Deadline: March 31, 2022.

Last Mile Education Fund (Cybersecurity and Information Technology BAS Students)
Last Mile Education Fund collaborates with investors and partners to fill critical financial gaps for post-secondary students pursuing tech and engineering degrees. Awards are made available on a first-come, first-served basis, and are subject to review by the Last Mile Education Fund and our investment partners. Funding availability for Cybersecurity and Information Technology BAS students.

Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation
The scholarship foundation awards scholarships to active duty or reserve U.S. Marine or children of active duty or reserve U.S. Marine. Students who already have their first undergraduate degree, or are pursuing their second bachelor's degree, or attending graduate school of any kind, or attending Federal Reserve Academics are not eligible.

MCPR – The Craig Sallstrom Memorial Scholarship
Each year the MCPR Board of Directors awards a $1,000 scholarship to a student at our annual CPM Short Course and MCPR Trade Show. The CPM Short Course and MCPR Trade show will be held December 7-9, 2021 at the Hilton Hotel exclusively. To be eligible for this $1,000 scholarship, the applicant must be a student entering their second, third, or fourth year of a four-year institution of higher learning or, the second year of a two-year institution of higher learning AND must be a Minnesota resident. Deadline: 2021 applications must be postmarked by November 1, 2021.

Mensa Foundation Scholarship
The Mensa Education and Research Foundation has a number of scholarship awards available to U.S. Citizens or legal residents who are enrolled in an accredited U.S. institution of post-secondary education for the Fall/Spring 2022-2023 terms. Scholarship winners will receive awards of $500 to $1,000 based on an online essay of 550 words or less describing their academic or career goals. We are guaranteed to have at least two scholarship winners from North Dakota each year. Deadline: January 15, 2022

Morton County Soil Conservation District Scholarship
The Morton County Soil Conservation District has established a scholarship opportunity for college students that are residents of Morton County, North Dakota.  The applicant(s) must currently be pursuing a degree in an agricultural/natural resource management/environmental or related field at a two or four-year accredited college or university.  Multiple scholarships, each totaling up to $500, maybe awarded.

Northern States Causus Scholarship
The Northern Caucus annually awards two $1,000 scholarships to outstanding students from colleges and universities across the Northern states. Deadline: December 31, 2021. (Award Date is January 2022.)

ND Association of Counties (NDACo-ILG) Scholarship
As a non-profit association that provides services to the county government, NDACo strongly believes in education and the future of North Dakota's youth. That is why we created this scholarship fund through our education subsidiary, the Institute of Local Government. You will one day be the leaders of our communities, counties and state. Six $2,000 scholarships will be awarded in 2022 for the 2022-2023 school year. If chosen as a recipient, you will be invited to be recognized at the NDACo Annual Conference and Expo in Bismarck, October 3, 2022. ND Community Foundation Scholarships
Scholarships are listed geographically and alphabetically. Each scholarship has its own set of specific eligibility requirements, preferences, and priorities.

ND Corn Growers Association Scholarship
The North Dakota Corn Growers Association will award $1,000 scholarships to deserving students in 2022, with a minimum of one recipient from each of ND Corn's seven districts. Deadline: January 31, 2022

ND Dollars for Scholars
The vision of North Dakota Dollars for Scholars is to encourage postsecondary education attendance for all North Dakota students. North Dakota Dollars for Scholars is a statewide chapter providing scholarships to students from Dollars for Scholars communities. Each year the organization strives to award over $100,000 to deserving students.

ND Petroleum Foundation: Al Golden Scholarship
The North Dakota Petroleum Foundation is currently accepting applications for the Al Golden Scholarship. This year we will be giving out 10 scholarships of $2,000 to students pursuing an energy-related degree. 
 
The Al Golden Scholarship is open to full-time students who have a 3.0 GPA or higher and are pursuing a post-secondary education in geology, engineering, science, processing plant technology, and other technical skills or trades related to energy development or processing. Applicants must also have completed ONE of the following:
  • At least 6 months of work and/or internship experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Completed at least 12 hours in geology, earth science, geological/petroleum engineering, chemistry, math, or safety. Deadline: June 1, 2022.

Nyal Brings Scholarship 
The scholarship program is established for the further educational advancements of aspiring Native American students with priority given to those of Sioux heritage.

PEO Scholarship
P.E.O. Sisterhood sponsors no less than six international philanthropies, or projects, designed to assist women with their educational goals.

Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society Scholarships
PTK offers over $90 million in scholarships for eligible members. Deadlines and eligibility criteria vary.

Rocky Mountain Mining Institute Technical Scholarship
This program started in 2007, the Technical Scholarship is a one-time, $1,000 gift to students in technical programs who hope to take their education into the mining industry, where there is a great demand for technical applications. Deadline: March 1, 2022

Scholarship America Scholarships
Scholarship America's mission is to mobilize America, through scholarships and educational support, to make postsecondary success possible for all students.
 
SkillBuildND
SkillBuildND is a new program funded by the US Department of Labor to help prepare eligible participants for jobs in North Dakota's growing oil industry and building trades areas in which activity is expected to continue for years to come.

Standing Rock Tribal Scholarship
The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe's Scholarship Program assists with financial aid for eligible enrolled members of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe seeking certificates, associate & bachelor degrees, and graduate degrees to pursue individual careers and to contribute to the advancement of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.

Study Abroad Scholarships
The Go Overseas scholarships are available to students currently enrolled in, or in the process of applying to, study abroad programs.

Varsity Tutors Scholarship
Varsity Tutors holds a monthly $1,000 college scholarship contest where students write an essay in response to a monthly prompt.

Veteran Volunteer Scholarship
One outstanding applicant will receive the top scholarship of $20,000 to help fund their education. Additional scholarships are awarded in the amounts of $15,000, $10,000, $7,500, and $5,000. The scholarship is open to volunteers age 21 or younger who have contributed a minimum of 100 hours credited through DAV or DAV Auxiliary.
