The AFCEA Educational Foundation has six general categories of scholarships available for undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled and attending full time at four-year colleges or universities in the United States. High school students are not eligible to apply.
AfterCollege/AACN Scholarship Fund
The AfterCollege-AACN Scholarship Fund supports students who are seeking baccalaureate, master's or doctoral degree in nursing. One scholarship in the amount of $2,500 will be awarded each quarter. Special consideration will be given to students in a graduate program with the goal of becoming a nurse educator; students completing an RN-to-BSN or RN-to-MSN program; and those enrolled in an accelerated program. Scholarship deadlines are March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 1.
The American Association of Colleges of Nursing Geraldine "Polly" Bednash Scholarship
Two $5,000 scholarships will be distributed to top nursing school applicants four times each year. Applicant must be enrolled in a baccalaureate or higher degree nursing program at an AACN member institution affiliated with CastleBranch. Deadline to apply is January 31, April 30, July 31 and October 31.
American Chemistry Society Scholarship
ACS sponsors scholarship programs for qualified applicants who want to enter the fields of chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, chemical technology and teaching. The programs aim is to encourage diversity among applicants and build awareness of the value and rewards associated with careers in science and technology.
American Water Works Association AWWA Scholarship
Awarding $500 for Water Operator training and education. Each recipient will receive a one-year AWWA Operator membership.
American Welding Society Foundation Scholarship
The AWS Foundation is dedicated to meeting the needs for education and research in the field of welding and related joining technologies.
Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) Scholarship
The Omaha chapter of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP), in partnership with AIM, is offering several scholarships to help further the education of students who are planning to attend or continuing to attend a college, university, community college, or technical school in Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, North Dakota, or South Dakota, with the goal of achieving an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. CastleBranch - GNSA Nursing Scholarship
Two $2,500 scholarships will be awarded each semester. Applicants must be enrolled in a graduate nursing program at an AACN member school of nursing and must be a GNSA member. This scholarship recognizes the outstanding work of graduate nursing students who are advancing the nursing profession. Deadline to apply is September 30 and December 30.

Dakota Indian Foundation Scholarship
The scholarship program is established for the further educational advancement of aspiring Native American students with priority given to those of Sioux heritage. Deadline to apply is August 1 for the fall semester and January 15 for the spring semester.
DSG (Dakota Supply Group) Education Connection Scholarship
The DSG Education Connection Fund is providing multiple scholarships to individuals who are pursuing an education and a career in the trade industries throughout DSG's service area.
Esther Hample Scholarship
The Bismarck-Mandan Business & Professional Women’s Club wants to reward deserving women with this scholarship opportunity. The Bismarck-Mandan BPW Club has continued to add to the scholarship fund each year from various sources but mostly through monies raised via its annual golf tournament.
Two (2) $1500 will be awarded to applicants chosen by the Bismarck-Mandan Business & Professional Women’s Club Scholarship Committee. The North Dakota Community Foundation is responsible for disbursing the payments for the scholarships, which are sent directly to the school the recipient is attending. Deadline: June 2, 2021.
Fabricators & Manufacturers Association Foundation Scholarship

Gabriel J. Brown Trust
The Gabriel J. Brown Trust has lowered their borrowing rate to 5%. The trust has funds available and will accept applications until the funds have been depleted.
Geraldine "Polly" Bednash Nursing Scholarship

Helen Bergstrom Ernst Scholarship
The Helen Bergstrom Ernst Scholarship Trust was established by the Will of Helen Bergstrom Ernst to further the education of student who are members of The Spirit Lake Tribe. Helen was born and raised in St. Paul, MN but became fascinated with the Lake Region when her brother Arthur Bergstrom moved to Devils Lake, ND in 1919 and founded Lake Chevrolet in 1923. When Helen came to visit her brother, she developed a deep and abiding love for the people of the Lake Region and especially for the members of the Spirit Lake Tribe. She admired the spirit of the people. As a result of her love, this scholarship trust was established. Deadline: September 24, 2021.
Indian Health Service Scholarships
Three scholarships will be awarded to American Indian or Alaska Native students in order to educate and train health professionals to staff Indian health programs.
Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation
The scholarship foundation awards scholarships to active duty or reserve U.S. Marine or children of active duty or reserve U.S. Marine. Students who already have their first undergraduate degree, or are pursuing their second bachelor's degree, or attending graduate school of any kind, or attending Federal Reserve Academics are not eligible.
MCPR – The Craig Sallstrom Memorial Scholarship
Each year the MCPR Board of Directors awards a $1,000 scholarship to a student at our annual CPM Short Course and MCPR Trade Show. The CPM Short Course and MCPR Trade show will be held December 7-9, 2021 at the Hilton Hotel exclusively. To be eligible for this $1,000 scholarship, the applicant must be a student entering their second, third, or fourth year of a four-year institution of higher learning or, the second year of a two-year institution of higher learning AND must be a Minnesota resident. Completed 2021 applications must be postmarked by NOVEMBER 1, 2021.
Minnesota Builders Exchange Scholarship
Application are now being accepted for awards to student currently enrolled in accredited construction-related, post-secondary program. A total of up to $30,000 has been set aside for multiple award amounts, with top award of up to $5,000. The 2021-2022 scholarship are based in part on merit, defined broadly to include academic excellence as well as a range of other personal accomplishments and experiences. The purpose of this scholarship is to assist students who are pursuing an education and career directly related to the construction industry. Deadline: May 31, 2021.
Northern States Causus Scholarship
The Northern Caucus annually awards two $1,000 scholarships to outstanding students from colleges and universities across the Northern states. Deadline: May 31, 2021. (Award Date is January 2022.)
ND Association of Counties (NDACo) Scholarship
Six $2,000 scholarships will be awarded in 2021 for the 2021/2022 school year. Qualifications: 1)Child or grandchild of current North Dakota county employee or county official. 2)Will be registered as a full-time undergraduate student in an accredited North Dakota University, college or vocational/technical certification program. Deadline: December 31, 2021.
ND Community Foundation Scholarships
Scholarships are listed geographically and alphabetically. Each scholarship has its own set of specific eligibility requirements, preferences, and priorities.
ND Conference of Social Welfare (NDSCW) Scholarship
The North Dakota Conference of Social Welfare (NDCSW) was formed in 1920 by a group of individuals who were interested in starting a broad based organization that would speak out effectively and strongly on behalf of North Dakota’s children and it’s underprivileged. The conference has been instrumental throughout the years in spearheading legislation, serving as an advocate for the disadvantaged, and conducting training programs/conferences for individuals and groups involved in social welfare issues. Each year the NDCSW selects enrolled college/university students to be a recipient for a $500 scholarship. Graduate and undergraduate students are eligible to apply, however if you have received the scholarship in past years, you will not be considered as a potential candidate should you apply. Deadline: July 16, 2021.
ND Dollars for Scholars
The vision of North Dakota Dollars for Scholars is to encourage postsecondary education attendance for all North Dakota students. North Dakota Dollars for Scholars is a statewide chapter providing scholarships to students from Dollars for Scholars communities. Each year the organization strives to award over $100,000 to deserving students.
ND Petroleum Foundation (NDPF) - Al Golden Scholarship
The North Dakota Petroleum Foundation (NDPF) is now accepting applications for its Al Golden Scholarship program for the 2021-2022 school year. The NDPF will award up to nine $2,000 scholarships to students pursuing degrees or training in an energy-related field. AL Golden Scholars are selected based on academic achievement, work or internship experience in the oil and natural gas industry or a demonstrated commitment to a qualified area of study. Students must be attending a North Dakota college or university and remain a full-time student for the Fall Semester of 2021 and Spring Semester of 2022. Deadline: June 1, 2021.

Pioneer Equipment Dealers Association (Pioneer EDA) Scholarship Program
The Pioneer Equipment Dealers Association is committed to partnering with equipment dealers to provide funds to help students attend school for training that is applicable to dealers' needs. Equipment dealers throughout the states of Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota have a growing demand for well-trained diesel technicians. While technicians are a particular area of focus, dealers need employees in all areas of dealership operations, including sales, service, parts, and management. Pioneer EDA scholarship awards are currently set at $1,500 per recipient per year, with $500 being provided by sponsoring dealer and $1,000 provided by Pioneer EDA. Applicants must be accepted and enrolled as full-time student in a dealer-approved higher education curriculum. Deadline: May 14, 2021.
Sanford Health Military & Veteran Scholarship
Sanford Health is accepting applications for four $5,000 scholarships awarded annually to veterans, Guard/Reserve members or active duty military service members who have demonstrated leadership and commitment in their community. The Sanford Health Military and Veteran Scholarship honors those who have furthered their own progress and enriched the lives of others, especially in service, academics and community involvement. The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe's Scholarship Program assists with financial aid for eligible enrolled members of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe seeking certificates, associate & bachelor degrees, and graduate degrees to pursue individual careers and to contribute to the advancement of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.

Varsity Tutors Scholarship
Varsity Tutors holds a monthly $1,000 college scholarship contest where students write an essay in response to a monthly prompt.
Veteran Volunteer Scholarship
One outstanding applicant will receive the top scholarship of $20,000 to help fund their education. Additional scholarships are awarded in the amounts of $15,000, $10,000, $7,500, and $5,000. The scholarship is open to volunteers age 21 or younger who have contributed a minimum of 100 hours credited through DAV or DAV Auxiliary.
