Bookstore Charging
Bookstore Charging to a Third Party
A third party contract must be submitted to BSC Student Finance Services at least 24 hours (not counting weekends) prior to the time you plan on charging books at the BSC Bookstore.
Allow 24 hours for processing time once BSC Student Finance Services receives the original or a fax from the third party. (NO EXCEPTIONS, PLEASE.)
All third party authorizations/contracts must be in BSC Student Finance Services prior to the designated tuition/fee due date for the semester.
Students can go to the Bookstore with their Student ID on the days specified by BSC to charge their books and/or supplies to their third party authorization.
Students who charge books prior to third party authorization approval may be denied third party processing/payment and will be responsible for any balance not covered by the third party.
Students who charge books/supplies not allowed by their third party will be responsible for such charges immediately upon notification.
Students are responsible for telling the BSC Bookstore they are charging to a third party at the time books are purchased.
Bookstore Charging Against Financial Aid
Your Student ID will be required at the BSC Bookstore to charge books
Your financial aid file must be complete to charge any books.
Complete your Financial Aid.
Charging is allowed against Pell, SEOG, Perkins, Deal Loans (Private Education), Direct Loans, and Parent Plus Loans only if you give BSC authorization to credit financial aid directly to your account and only on days specified by BSC.
Financial Aid must cover all current institutional costs on your student account before charging books against financial aid is allowed.
If your financial aid file is complete and you have excess financial aid available, the BSC Bookstore will have an amount of current allowable excess financial aid available to charge books against.
Changes made to financial aid and removal of any student hold will only be submitted to the BSC Bookstore once a day. Allow 24 hours for these changes to be submitted to the BSC Bookstore.
If you charge books to your financial aid and make changes to your class schedule and your financial aid does not cover the total amounts charged, you will be responsible for any balance due by the designated due date for the semester or at the time of any change.
If your financial aid is downward adjusted at any time by the Financial Aid Office, you will be responsible for any book charges previously charged to financial aid. The student is responsible to know if they are eligible or have accepted their financial aid.
As a student, you are responsible for checking your student account, financial aid award, student holds, and knowing the Dates and Deadlines schedules.
