Enrollment Verification for Students

What is enrollment verification?
Enrollment verification, also known as an enrollment certificate, is a statement verifying that a student is enrolled in classes during a given term.  It can be used whenever proof of enrollment is required for scholarships, health insurance, car insurance, Apartment rental/housing authority, employment etc.

Note:  Verification of loan deferments are handled by the lending agencies using online access to NSC.

What does an Enrollment Verification show?
  • Student Name
  • Enrollment History
    • Semesters Enrolled
    • Start and end dates of each semester
    • Status: Less than 1/2-time, half-time, 3/4-time and full-time

When can I get my Enrollment Verification?
BSC provides Advanced Registration Enrollment Verification and Enrollment Verification information to NSC multiple times a year.

Option 1 - Advanced Registration Enrollment Verification
  • Advanced Registration enrollment verification allows students who are registered for an upcoming term to print/view enrollment certificates BEFORE the term starts.
  • Advanced Registrations are not reported to NSLDS, guarantors, lenders or servicers of student loans.

 Term                  *Scheduled Transmissions
Fall  April, May, June, July, August
 Spring  December, January
 Summer  April, May
*Transmissions will be sent on the first business day.

Option 2 - Enrollment Verification
  • Enrollment Verifications allow registered students (for a specified term) to print/view enrollment certificates online beginning on the first day of the specified term.
  • Enrollment Verification Certificates are reported for federal compliance reporting to NSLDS, Guarantors, lenders and servicers of student loans.
Note:  Enrollment Verification Certificates are not available for enrollment statuses of Less Than Half-Time, Withdrawn, & Leave of Absence until the "Add/Drop" period has ended. This is to help prevent non-deferrable enrollment statuses from being reported out to 3rd parties, as well as, prevent lenders from sending repayment notices.
