Bismarck State College partners with the North Dakota Space Grant Consortium to identify, recruit and retain students in mathematics, science, engineering and technology. With that goal in mind, the ND Space Grant Consortium is offering Bismarck State College a tremendous scholarship opportunity. The ND Space Grant scholarships available to currently enrolled BSC students amount to $1,000 and are available for this spring semester. There will be seven scholarships awarded to BSC students for the spring semester. The criteria for the scholarship is as follows:
- Academic excellence by earning a 3.00 cumulative grade point average or higher
- Student needs to major in mathematics, science, engineering or technology field
- Must be a US citizen
Interested students should complete a one page application form, which is available in the financial aid office, Room 138 Schafer Hall, and submit a letter of recommendation from one faculty member. The deadline to apply for students to apply for this scholarship opportunity is December 4th 2009. Determinations of scholarship awards will be made after that date and all applicants will be notified.
