The BSC Board of Governors is comprised of representatives from most of
the student organizations on campus and is open to any interested
students. The board decides how student activity fees are spent as they
decide which social, recreational and cultural programs will be offered
for students.
The Board sponsors various activities, entertainment, and community
service events including speakers, programs, and dances.
The Board is involved with the state student association called North Dakota Student Association (NDSA). NDSA is made up of the 11 colleges and
universities in ND. Monthly meetings are held at a selected ND college
and here students discuss issues that affect the students in North Dakota.
The Board is actively involved with the national organization called the
American Student Association of Community Colleges (ASACC). ASACC is made
up of a combination of students and advisors thoughout the United States.
Here students are able to demonstrate leadership skills and discuss issues
that affect college students nationally along with communicating with our
United States Congressmen. The purpose of ASACC is to work to improve the
quality of education nationwide by lobbying on the federal level.
Students have a voice!
Board of Governor members and officers can also receive one class credit,
