MICROSOFT OFFICE SOFTWARE
BSC Employees can purchase Microsoft Office at a discounted price. There are two options available for employees depending on your needs:
1) Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 available through the Microsoft Home Use Program. This allows employees to buy a single user copy of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 which can be installed on one home/personal computer. The downloadable version is just $9.95. If you wish to have the DVD backup as well, that is an additional $13.99.
• Contact the BSC Help Desk for information on ordering this version of Office. You will need a Program Code from us that is specific for our college before you can order it.
2) Office 365 University is $79.99 for a 4 year subscription and has the following benefits:
• The Office 365 University plan allows you to install Office on up to two PCs or Macs and on up to two smartphones or tablets (Note: for use by a single person).
• Install Office applications on your PC, Mac, Windows tablet, and other select devices.
• Always have the latest versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher, and Access for your Mac or PC. Office 365 customers with active subscriptions are entitled to the newest versions of the Office applications whenever they are available.
• Away from your PC? Office 365 Home Premium and Office 365 University subscribers can stream full versions of Office applications to any Internet-connected PC running Windows 7 or Windows 8 using Office on Demand.
• Use your additional 20 GB online storage for documents, photos, and videos, so you can edit and share them from wherever you are.
• 60 free Skype world minutes per month.
Visit the Office 365 University website for more information and to order the program. There is no backup media available with Office 365. If you ever need to reinstall the program, you can download it again.
3) A third option, which can be purchased by anyone, is a yearly subscription to Office 365 Home Premium. It is $99.99 per year for the subscription, but allows you to use Office on up to 5 PCs or Macs within the same household with just one subscription. This may be a good option for those with family members that need to use Office.
