COLLEGE RELATIONS
 The objective of the College Relations department is to tell the Bismarck State College story through a variety of communications tools, channels and messages while advancing the reputation, image and values of the college among key constituencies.
Working with College Relations
Do you have an event you want to promote? Are you funded to buy advertising for your program? Do you think a video would be the best way to let people know about your conference? Interested in a new brochure? Want to attract media attention?
College Relations is the place to start when developing strategies for promotion, advertising, media events and public relations for internal, regional and national exposure.
Faculty and staff are urged to consult with the College Relations staff about all communication projects - particularly those directed at an external audience. The outside world sees BSC as a seamless organization, so it's important that all external messages are professional, consistent and reflect the BSC mission and our brand.
BSC Logo Usage Guidelines
To get the most out of our logo, it is important to protect it from alterations that could unintentionally misrepresent us or confuse the public about our identity. Please refer to the BSC Logo Manual for the correct usage. By consistently implementing the basic usage standards shown, a uniform brand and image will be communicated to BSC's many audiences.
The identity of BSC is affected by the creation of all visual stimuli. This includes all advertising, brochures, posters, stationery, signage, exhibits and the BSC website. Consistent application of high standards of graphic imagery is an important element in marketing BSC's integrity and identity.
BSC Website Procedures
Development and maintenance of the BSC website is the responsibility of College Relations. The department works in conjunction with the appropriate academic and administrative department heads and the website monitors to ensure that accurate and timely information is available on the site. The department also coordinates and consults with BSC Information Services on technical issues, as needed.
