Lindblom became department chair in 2004 and teaches drawing and painting. She started her career at BSC in 1991 as an adjunct instructor and gallery coordinator, assuming her full-time teaching position in 2000.
Recipient of the Faculty Award for Excellence, Lindblom is a founding member of the BSC ArtsQuest planning committee and award-winning faculty advisor for Phi Theta Kappa. Since 2003, she has led BSC's overseas educational tours to destinations such as, Egypt, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Greece, Germany, Italy, France and Spain. Lindblom originated performance art (visual) on stage during BSC's annual spring Collage Concerts as well as in the community through her involvement with Northern Plains Dance, Bismarck-Mandan Civic Chorus, local schools and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
A 1983 graduate of BSC, Lindblom has an MFA in visual art and an MS in educational administration from the University of North Dakota. She holds a BA in liberal arts with visual art concentration from the University of New Orleans, Louisiana. Her experience teaching art to grades K-8 in New Orleans and Chicago inspired her to pursue graduate studies and her own artistic goals.
Lindblom operates a studio and gallery in downtown Bismarck and exhibits her work locally and throughout the United States. She holds memberships in the National Association of Women Artists, Women Artists of the West, International Society of Acrylic Painters, North Dakota Art Gallery Association and the Bismarck Arts and Galleries Association.
