POLICIES & PROCEDURES

All nonexpendable items with a unit cost of more than $2,500, or due to the nature of the item, are tagged and must be on the approved equipment list at the time of budgeting.

These items must be tagged with a college inventory control tag. The transfer or movement of any tagged item must be reported on a Transfer or Movement Form.

Any equipment type item purchased by BSC or donated to BSC, no matter what value, must be disposed of properly using the State Surplus Property Disposal form. Once the form is completed and signed by the department chair, the department contacts maintenance for removal of the item.

The item will be picked up and disposed of per ND Century Code. BSC General Policy - Use, Movement and Disposal of College Property.
