Bismarck State College has entered into transfer articulation agreements with several four-year institutions. The purpose of transfer articulation agreements is to provide a smooth transition from one related degree program to another. The following agreements pertain to the degrees that are offered online at BSC:
  • Minot State University (North Dakota). Minot State University now offers the Bachelor of Applied Science degree (areas of study in Business Information Technology, General Studies, and Management) in an online format. Students who have earned an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree from BSC, and have met the general education requirements for an Associate in Arts (AA) or an Associate in Science (AS) degree, will need only an additional 42 semester credit hours to receive the BAS from Minot State University. All courses from MSU are offered on-campus or online.
  • Dickinson State University (North Dakota). Dickinson State University offers two Baccalaureate completion degree programs in online formats. The two programs are the Bachelor of University Studies (BUS), a liberal arts completion degree program, and the Bachelor of Applied Science in Technology (BAST). An Associate of applied Science degree from an accredited institution must be completed before being accepted into the BAST program and completion of the general education coursework.
  • DeVry University (Illinois). DeVry offers a Bachelor of Science in Technical Management (BSTM) in a completely online format. Graduates of the BSC power plant technology, process plant technology, and electric power technology AAS programs would need an additional 62 semester credit hours (42 of which must be taken from DeVry) to earn the BSTM. Those students who complete the BSTM degree may also be eligible for admission into specified graduate programs at Keller Graduate School of Management (also online).
  • Peirce College (Pennsylvania). This agreement allows recipients of the AA degree from BSC to be granted "junior" standing at Peirce. Recipients of the AAS degree in power plant or process plant technology are awarded 18 credits. All Peirce classes needed for the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration are offered online.
  • Capella University (Minnesota). Graduates of BSC's AA degree program, and students who have earned the AAS degree and have completed the necessary general education requirements of the AA or AS degree at BSC, would need an additional 60 semester hours from Capella to earn the Bachelor of Science degree. All courses from Capella are offered online.
  • Minnesota State University - Moorhead (Minnesota). This agreement allows recipients of the power plant technology and process plant technology AAS degrees to continue on in Moorhead's Industrial Technology Bachelor of Science degree program. This program is currently available on-campus at Moorhead and is not offered online.
