High School Administrators and Instructors

Interested in Dual Credit? If your high school is interested in the dual credit program at BSC and have further questions, we can schedule an informal meeting that will allow us to come to your school and meet with anyone interested in participating in the dual credit program.
Dual Credit Course Approval: The college course section taught in the high school must meet the course and academic standards of the BSC course sections taught on campus, conform to the Department of Public Instruction course code descriptions, and are approved by the BSC Academic Department Chair.- Complete a Dual Credit Program Course Request Form
- Using the college course syllabus, the instructor will prepare a course syllabus and submit to the Department Chair
- The teaching of the course in the high school will be monitored by the BSC Academic Department Chair responsible for the course
Dual Credit Instructor Approval: The instructor offering the course must be approved by the BSC Academic Department Chair. If the adjunct instructor is a high school teacher, the high school Principal and District Superintendent must first give their written approval for their instructor to teach on behalf of BSC. An instructor must have at least a bachelor's degree in the field of study (a master's degree is preferred) and at least five years of experience of teaching is required. Instructors wanting to teach dual credit at BSC must submit:- Request to Teach Dual Credit Form
- Faculty Application for Employment
- Current Resume
- Official College Transcripts - sent directly from the issuing institution to Bismarck State College
