Chamber Concert

Date: 11/20/2012

Join us in the Sidney J. Lee Auditorium on the BSC campus for the Bismarck State College Music Department's Fall Chamber Concert, Tuesday, November 20 at 7:30 p.m.

The BSC chamber concert features small, specialized groups of like instruments. Students in these groups may or may not be music majors, but come together to study and perform music that challenges their technical and stylistic abilities as individual players.

Selections will include music from across music history including timeless classics and contemporary favorites. The brass directed by Brianne Fuzesy will do a tribute to film music composer John Williams, while the saxophones directed by John Darling and guitars directed by Doug Klein will choose programs from both traditional and jazz repertoire.

Percussion ensemble will include a piece in their portion of the program written by their director, Rob Peske. Also performing is the woodwind ensemble directed by Jeanette Rehberg. This ensemble of flutes and clarinets will present music from opera, ballet, and contemporary film. The BSC Chamber Concert is free and open to the public.
