If you are over the age of 25, have ACT scores more than five years old or have not met the requirement for the ACT test, you will need to take the COMPASS or ACCUPLACER assessment. These are assessments of your skills in math and writing. For more information, please contact the Distance Education Advisor, Amanda Dockter, by email at Amanda.Dockter@bsc.nodak.edu. The COMPASS score in math that is required is a 41 or higher on the pre-algebra portion. The ACCUPLACER score that is required is a 44 or higher on the elementary algebra portion.
