Course Description: This non-credit course will expose students to variety types of lessons and questions focusing on reading comprehension, mechanical aptitude, spatial aptitude and general mathematics that they will face in an Industrial Aptitude test. The course is designed to help the student discover their strengths as well as their weaknesses. Once the students are able to identify the subjects they are weak in, they can concentrate on those areas. This self-paced course will result in maximum test result by building the students self confidence as they proceed and help them avoid "test anxiety" that causes low test scores. Who should participate? Aptitude Testing is commonly used by organizations in civil service, utility industry and the military services. This course is for anyone interested in preparing for plant operation, plant maintenance, construction or skilled trade pre-employment exams. The Industrial Aptitude course was specifically developed to prepare personal for applicant screening and employment development. What are the online course elements? This course is a self-paced course that is completely online without an instructor. In the course, each unit contains self check exams and/or quizzes so that each student may assess their own progress and identify topics upon which to focus. The answers for the exams are provided in the course. What are the computer requirements for this course? View Computer Requirements to learn what you need on your computer to take this course. When do students participate and complete the course work? The course contains about 8 hours of content and students are given two weeks to complete the course. Students are provided a login and password to enter the course online. Company training supervisors may provide additional requirements, such as scheduled training times and activities. College credit is not available for this course. How do students and companies register? Both individual and group registrations are available.
How much does it cost? The course fee is $119.00 per student. Individuals must pay by credit card or prior billing arrangements need to be made by calling (701) 224-5764. Company Group Registration may pay by credit card or be invoiced. Invoices will be sent to the contact person. What is the cancellation policy if I am unable to attend? Refunds granted at the participant's request will incur a $15 processing fee per class, to be deducted from the amount refunded. All refunds are made by mail unless paid with a credit card; in which case the card is credited. Please allow four weeks to process refunds. If cancellation is requested after the online course is accessed or less than one week prior to the course end date, no refund is available. Full refunds are guaranteed if BSC Energy Technology Division cancels a course. How do I cancel a registration?
