BSC PRIOR LEARNING CREDIT INFORMATION

Prior Learning Assessment is not just one method or tool. It includes methods such as:
Standardized Exams Students may earn college credit for acceptable scores on the:
1. College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
2. Advanced Placement Examiniations (AP)
3. DANTES Subject Standardized Test (DSST)
Challenge Exam Students who demonstrate college level competency and establish college credits by successfully passing an institutional challenge examination.
Evaluation of Corporate and Military Training Students with experience in corporate and military training may be eligible for certain college credit. The student provides official documentation such as AARTS, SMARTS, ACE Registry transcripts.
Individualized Student Portfolios The Prior Learning Assessment-Portfolio Development (PLA), course provides a method of allowing college credit for the learning that you may have obtained through work, seminars, training programs, and certification programs.
One or more of these options may be used to help a student obtain credit for college level learning.
