Call for Proposals
We invite you to present at our upcoming North Dakota NACADA Drive-in Conference. We are seeking those that are involved in advising-administration, faculty, full-time advisors and administrative staff to present at a concurrent session (approximately 50 minutes in length).

The program committee encourages you to consider a presentation format that will engage your colleagues in discussion and learning beyond the simple dissemination of information.  Conference attendees can attend one of the two breakout sessions to attend at a time.  There will be a total of four breakout sessions for the entire conference.

Criteria for selection of paper/presentation: Proposals will be evaluated based on relevance to the issues of advising, appeal to conference participants, creativity, ingenuity and applicability for participants after the conference. Proposals should address one of the following topics:
  • Advising Culturally Diverse Students
  • Advising Online Students
  • Advising the Adult Learner
  • Advising Military Students
  • Freshmen Experience
  • Advising Undecided Students
  • Making Advising Fun
  • New Ideas in Advising
We encourage you to inform all colleagues that may be interested in presenting at the North Dakota NACADA Drive-in Conference.

To review proposal submission instructions and submit proposals, go to: http://www.nacada.ksu.edu/apps/index.php/proposals/entry/1 and choose ND 2014 under the Choose Region Section.

Proposals should include your presentation title, learning objectives and desired format (i.e. panel, roundtable, etc.) and technical needs. Please include a brief abstract (135 words or less) describing your presentation and the desired learning objectives. Abstracts will be included in the conference program and on the conference website.

We will notify the presenters by January 11, 2014.

  • Due to budgetary considerations, the conference is unable to offer complimentary registration or lodging for presenters.

  • NACADA does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability or marital status.
