BSC Accreditations

Bismarck State College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The College was initially accredited in 1966.

The Clinical Laboratory Technician Program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences.

The Phlebotomy Technician Program is approved by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences.

The North Dakota School of Respiratory Care of St. Alexius Medical Center is accredited by the Joint Review Committee for Respiratory Therapy Education and the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association.

The Surgical Technology Program is accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.

The Certificate Program in Practical Nursing and the Associate in Applied Science Degree in Nursing are accredited by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.

The Automotive Technology Program is certified in all eight instructional areas by the National Automotive Technology Education Foundation, a board of the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence.

The limited curriculum in Automotive Technology offered at the Missouri River Correctional Center is NATEF certified.

The Automotive Collision Technology Program is certified in all five instructional areas by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation, a board of the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence.

The Carpentry Program had been approved for accreditation as an Associated General Contractors of America Recognized Program by the Associated General Contractors of North Dakota.

The EMT-Paramedic Program at St. Alexius Medical Center is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.

The North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) has recognized Bismarck State College as a continuing education provider who adheres to NERC Continuing Education Program Criteria for the Electrical Transmission Systems Technology (ETST) program.
