SCHEDULE
Registration will be from 7:30 am to 8:30 am. For day
one, all trainings will begin at 8:30 am sharp. Each
training is tentatively scheduled for 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.
However, each presenter has the option of starting and
ending earlier or later. Many of the presenters would like
to end early on the last day. In order to meet the 15 hours
needed for university credit, they may opt to start earlier
or end later on other days of the training.

SLEEPING ROOMS
A block of sleeping rooms has been reserved at the
Radisson Inn (phone: 701-255-6000) and the Best
Western Doublewood Inn (phone 701-258-7000) in
Bismarck under the title "Title I/Reading First/Special
Education Symposium." The sleeping room block will be
reserved through Friday, June 5, 2009. Be sure to request
state rates when you reserve your room and again when
you check out. State rates are $55 plus tax (single).

ADDITIONAL ITEMS
To avoid unnecessary distractions, please make sure your
cell phone is turned off or turned to vibrate during the
trainings. Meals including breakfast, lunch, and snacks
are provided ONLY to those that have registered for a
training for that day. Unless you have a newborn, please
do not bring your children to the trainings.

Space is limited, so watch for your e-mail confirmation
letter informing you that you have been enrolled in the
training of your choice. Confirmations will be e-mailed out
on June 6, 2009. If you register online, you will receive an
instant notification that your registration has been received;
however, this is not your official confirmation.

CREDIT REGISTRATION
(Separate Registration Process)
NO ON-SITE REGISTRATION WILL BE AVAILABLE. The
last day to register for credit is Wednesday, June 17,
2009 at midnight (no exceptions.)

To receive graduate or undergraduate credit, all of the
following items must be completed.
1. Register for credit. This is done separately from
the training registration. Registration for credit will
be available online ONLY. Register for credit
beginning Thursday, June 4, through Wednesday,
June 17, 2009 at midnight. Each two day training
will be offered for one credit; each four day training
will be offered for two credits.

2. Attend the whole training, including the required
working lunches. A roster will be distributed for
participants to sign at various times during the
training to verify attendance.
3. Submit a one-page written assignment for each
credit, about 400 words per page. For a two credit
training, the written assignment must be two written
pages or about 800 words. This assignment will be
distributed on the last day of each training and is due
by Friday, July 10, 2009.
The instructor on record makes all final decisions
about who will receive credit and any fluctuations or
accommodations on credit received!
PLEASE NOTE: If you are attending more than one session
for credit, you will be required to register for each session
separately and pay for each credit separately. Graduate
credit and undergraduate credit is a separate registration
from the Title I/Reading First/Special Education
Symposium registration and must be completed online. |

CANCELLATION POLICY
Registration fees are nonrefundable; however,
substitutions may be made by Monday, June 15, 2009
by calling 701-224-5600 or 877-846-9387.

SPECIAL NEEDS
If you have special needs such as dietary requirements,

send a written explanation with your registration form.

ROOM TEMPERATURES
In regards to the room temperature, it is difficult to find
a temperature where everyone is comfortable. We will
do the best we can to regulate it; however, please dress
appropriately for the sessions by dressing in layers
conducive to your comfort level.
