ND OSHA Consultation Program receives an OSCAR.
The program was nationally recognized at OSHCON (Occupational Safety and Health consultation managers meeting) annual conference in Nashville, TN by OSHA on April 26, 2012.
The program received an OSCAR (On-site Consultation Achievement Recognition) for its work over the last year on the new OSHA information system. This system is used to file safety and health reports with the national office. ND, SD, MT, CO and WY were chosen to test this new system in April 2011. This award is given annually to the on-site consultation program(s), which had the most significant contribution during the year.
The program (consultants and office assistant) has put in long hours in getting this system to work correctly. We continue to work on the system and OSHA plans is to release it to the other states once the system is ready.
