The Medication Aide Program course provides basic background information and routine procedures that are important for anyone responsible for the delivery of routine, regularly schedule medications.

This does not include acute care or settings where patient populations include individuals with unstable or changing nursing needs. The course deals with specific body systems and the drugs that affect each system. The special needs of the elderly are considered.

The course is competency-based in design.

BSC contracts with individual facilities that wish to provide this certification for their employees. This program is not offered as an open-enrollment course.
