Abby Weinreis named NJCAA Division II National Player of the Week
All-around effort characterized the play of Weinreis (5' 7") who sparked the Mystics to three blowout victories last week. The freshman tallied 22 points and six rebounds in a 114-49 rout of Turtle Mountain CC. In her second shot at Turtle Mountain, Weinreis focused more on ball distribution with eight assists and snagged seven steals on defense. Closing out the week with a 116-40 beating of Oglala Lakota College (SD), Weinreis recored 21 points, nine rebounds, and five steals. Abby is from Sentinel Butte, ND, and played high school basketball at Beach High School.
