Program Description
Physical Education is education through physical activities selected and carried on with full regard to values in human growth, development and behavior. The curriculum strives to prepare students for upper division coursework leading to a bachelor's degree. Students pursuing a degree in education with a major in physical education should complete the requirements below.*

Preparation
Students should have the desire to learn more about development of the human body in both a physical and spiritual context.

Program Requirements
Those completing the required coursework earn an Associate in Arts degree.

BSC has cooperative agreements with Dickinson State University and Minot State University and several other four-year institutions that allow students to continue with a bachelor's degree on the BSC campus. Those transferring to other institutions should consult the catalog of that institution for BSC course modifications.

Contact your BSC advisor for assistance with transfer planning.

Career Opportunities
Graduates with a four-year degree may consider elementary or secondary school teaching and coaching or management in athletic clubs and private and public recreation programs.

*TEACHING DEGREE TRACK
