Program Description
Students with an interest in military or organizational leadership can now earn a Certificate of Completion in Military Science. Students completing the certificate will have a solid understanding of the complex interactions between leaders and others in the organization including how to train, motivate, counsel personnel, as well as develop teams and teamwork focused on accomplishing specific goals and tasks. This certificate with the associate degree can also assist transfer students interested in the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC).
Preparation
Students should have an interest in the military, ROTC or leadership.
Program Requirements
Students will earn a Certificate of Completion in military science by completing the sequence of four courses in military science and an additional six credits of selected coursework. Students will also be prepared to transfer into the third year of ROTC at an approved baccalaureate degree-granting institution.
Career Opportunities
The certificate provides a background in leadership that can be applied to any career leadership opportunity.
